Company Description
We complete a mix of work including new residential streets, residential driveways, new parking lots, and patching and overlay for existing surfaces. Our customers include home builders, individuals, homeowners, general contractors, property managers, HOA’s and municipalities. Our service area includes the Denver Metro Area, and the foothills and mountain areas including Boulder, Clear Creek, Jefferson, Gilpin, Grand, Park, and Summit counties. All asphalt work performed is in accordance with current CDOT, municipal and plan specifications.

Company History
New West Paving started business on January 1, 2001. The company was formed by Dan Mikkelson, Alberto (Nono) Avitia, and Abel Corral, all having formerly worked for Lafarge, Inc., and its predecessor, Western Paving, giving them a combined 60 years of paving experience. They had a vision to get back to the simpler days of having greater control over the procedures in order to work toward the common goal of providing a quality product that they could be proud of, while maintaining a standard of living for themselves and their employees.
A vision to create an atmosphere in which employees would want to come to work and allowing them to provide adequate support for their families. New West paving has stayed a small business, with less than 20 employees, most of them here since the start 15 years ago. The size allows us to maintain quality control and a positive working atmosphere.
